I returned to the Jersey Shore last Saturday with the Jersey Droners for an Asbury Park Boardwalk drone flight. We have previously flown this mission on a cold January morning. This day was a much more pleasant experience.
However, it was a disappointing morning for me. I filmed what I believed would be an epic sequence. But when I looked down at my controller, I was disheartened to see that I had not been recording. Somehow I must have double-tapped the record button because the recorded video was only three seconds. I probably lost 15 minutes of recording time.
But I had fun. And that is what this is about. The opening scene of this video was spectacular. Everything about it was sequenced perfectly. But later on in the video, I just missed a surfer catching a wave. If I had been about two seconds behind where I was, it would have been a perfect cut.
It is definitely a challenge returning to a site I had previously visited. I didn’t want to do the same thing that I did the last time. I know I could have been a bit more imaginative. But I made do with the video I was able to capture.
This video also features the Convention Hall, The Stone Pony, Wonder Bar, the old casino, and carousel building. There are also a few cuts of the Jersey Droners lining the boardwalk. I hope you enjoy this Asbury Park Boardwalk drone flight.
