My latest video is a drone flight over Round Valley Reservoir. I had a wedding last weekend in Hunterdon County, NJ. Congratulations Mark and Danielle! On Friday, before the rehearsal, I took my Mavic Mini to the Round Valley Reservoir in Clinton Township.
I was pushing my little Mini with the wind. You may notice the wind on the water in the video. It was a sustained wind at about 12mph at 150ft and was gusting up to 30mph. But the Mini performed superbly. I got to capture the incredibly clear blue water along with some kayakers returning to shore near one of the dams.
The Round Valley Reservoir is named as such because of the circular pattern of the valley that was flooded to create the reservoir in 1960. It is the largest lake in New Jersey. It is also sometimes referred to as the Bermuda Triangle of New Jersey because of the number of people who have drowned in the lake. Many have never been found. I am grateful that this drone flight over Round Valley Reservoir did not go missing.
The video was made using Final Cut Pro. Check out some of the other tools I use to create these videos on the “My Stuff” page.
